Revitalizing and Beautifying Downtown Grants
Grants MainStreet Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing and beautifying the Grants MainStreet District. Our mission is to strengthen downtown Grants by supporting local businesses, improving public spaces, preserving historic character, and creating a welcoming place for residents and visitors.
We believe downtown is the heart of the community. Through local partnerships, volunteer support, events, beautification projects, and business resources, Grants MainStreet works to make the district a stronger, more active, and more vibrant place.
What We Do
Grants MainStreet uses the MainStreet Four-Point Approach to promote, design, organize, and revitalize businesses, properties, and public places within the district. As a small-scale economic development organization, we explore ways to support commerce, encourage investment, reduce vacancy, and address the needs of business and property owners.
Our work includes supporting local businesses, improving the appearance of downtown, promoting events, sharing local history, encouraging property reuse, and helping create positive momentum throughout the MainStreet District.
Where is the Grants MainStreet District?
The Grants MainStreet District runs along Historic Route 66 from Wayne Street to Anderman Street. The district also extends north along the Rio San Jose and includes properties along Mountain Road and High Street.
This area includes many of the commercial buildings, historic properties, public spaces, and local businesses that help shape the identity of downtown Grants.
